App embeds
Switch on the Sledge features that work across your whole store — the cart drawer, search overlay, wishlist panel and countdown.
Some Sledge features don't sit in one spot on the page — they slide in, drop down or float above it. The cart drawer, the search overlay, the wishlist panel. You switch those on once and they work across your whole store.
Enabling an embed
Open the theme editor
Online Store → Themes → Customize.
Open App embeds
Click the App embeds icon in the left sidebar. Every app embed available on your theme is listed.
Switch on the embeds you want
Some carry settings — expand the embed to see them.
What's available
Sledge Core is required. It loads the runtime and is what Install walks you through.
The remaining embeds cover features that float above the page rather than sitting in it:
- Cart drawer — replaces your theme's cart drawer with the Sledge one. Progress goal toward free shipping, countdown timer, product recommendations, a free gift that auto-adds, subscription toggle, trust badges, shipping protection, order notes and discount codes — each switched on or off independently.
- Search — the instant search overlay that opens over the page.
- Wishlist overlay — the wishlist flyout panel.
- Promotion countdown — a countdown that can appear across the store.

Embeds are per-theme
App embed settings are stored on the theme, not on your store. That means:
- Publishing a different theme requires enabling the embeds again on that theme.
- Duplicating a theme carries the embeds across, because the duplicate inherits its settings.
- Disabling an embed only affects the theme you are editing.
A common cause of "Sledge disappeared" is publishing a theme that never had Sledge Core enabled. Check the published theme's app embeds first.
Turning a feature off
Switch the embed off and save. The feature stops rendering immediately, and your theme's own equivalent takes over — your theme's cart drawer, your theme's search.
Your configuration in the Sledge dashboard is untouched, so switching it back on restores everything.
